Chris Hurley Receives Promotion

We are pleased to announce that Chris Hurley has been promoted to Divisional Vice President within Property & Inland Marine. In this new role, Chris will serve as the P&IM Central Operations Officer and a member of the P&IM Leadership Team. As Central Operations Officer, Chris will have reporting responsibility for Excess Property and Residential Construction Profit Centers, in addition to the Mid-West Profit Center.

Chris began his career with Great American in 1998 as a trainee in PDC’s Underwriting Training Program, after which he spent four years in Alternative Markets before joining Property & Inland Marine’s Claim Department in 2003. Chris transitioned back to Underwriting in 2012 with the Alabama Territory, returning to Cincinnati in 2014 to manage the Ohio Valley Region and National Cargo, and ultimately having responsibility for the Mid-West starting in late 2017.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bowling Green State University. He also holds several insurance-related designations, including, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Marine Insurance Management (AMIM) and Associate in Claims (AIC).
