Moonkee has over 20 years of experience within the Marine insurance sector in Korea, undertaking roles in management, insurance underwriting and claims specializing in Cargo/Hull, as well as Casualty and Engineering. Prior to this, he was the Head of Marine & Channel Management with ACE American Fire & Marine Insurance Company in Korea.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Myongji University, as well as a qualification for Technical Insurance Practice issued by the Chartered Insurance Institute, which is equivalent to CII Diploma. He is also a certified Loss Adjuster by the regulation of Article 144 (Para 2) of rules for operation of Insurance Supervisory Regulations issued by the Insurance Supervisory Board.
Director, Marine (North Asia Market)
Larry has 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, holding various senior underwriting and management roles with a specialty focus on Marine insurance classes. Mr. Kwok began his career as a Marine Trainee in the claims department of Jardine Insurance Brokers, where he gained knowledge in a wide-range of disciplines including Cargo, Hull, Port and Terminal, and Freight Forwarder Liability. He then joined the world's biggest P&I Club at that time as a Claims Executive where he further enhanced his Marine knowledge particularly in the liability related areas for Ship Owner, Freight Forwarder, and Port and Terminal Operator. Mr. Kwok started his underwriting career in 2004 by joining Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited as Deputy Marine Manager. He then became the Marine Manager of ACE Insurance Limited for the Greater China region where he was responsible for the profitable growth of the Marine portfolio and instrumental in drafting and launching the Freight Forwarder Liability Policy. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Kwok was the Managing Director of SART Specialty Limited, heading the overall operation by providing technical Marine underwriting and business development leadership to the team for the Asia Pacific region.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Transport and Logistics Management at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University. He further obtained his Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from Manchester Metropolitan University and pursued his Master of Laws (LLM) in Maritime and Transportation Law stream at City University of Hong Kong. He is a Senior Associate member of The Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).
Chong Ai Mei
Senior Manager, Marine
Ai Mei has over 16 years of industry experience with four years of underwriting Marine risks, mainly on Hull and Cargo. Prior to this appointment, Ai Mei was the Marine Hull Underwriter with QBE Insurance. She started her insurance career with an international broking house handling Marine broking and client servicing.
She holds a diploma in Risk and Insurance Management and is an Associate member of The Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII).
Senior Manager, Specialty Risk
Melissa Chai has over 20 years of insurance experience in Asia. The last eight of which were spent as an insurance underwriter. She was previously Regional Vice President of Structured Credit and Political Risk at American International Group, and Head of Credit, Political Risk and Bonds for a subsidiary of AmTrust Financial Services in Singapore.
Melissa holds a Master of Science (Applied Economics) degree from the Singapore Management University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Second Upper Honours) from the National University of Singapore. She has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder since 2000.
Senior Manager, Property & Casualty
Lawrence has over 30 years of industry experience in underwriting and handling insurance requirements of corporate clients that cover all spectrum of industries in both general and employee benefits insurance. Prior to this appointment, Lawrence was the head of a Casualty Division for a multinational insurance firm.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree awarded by University of Western Ontario, London, Canada and is also a Chartered Insurance Practitioner from the Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.
Ms. Belinda Loke is the appointed Marine Cargo Underwriter of Great American Insurance Company, Singapore Branch. She is one of the pioneer employees and is responsible for managing and underwriting the Marine Cargo portfolio to ensure profitability and quality service.
She has more than 28 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to this appointment, she was the Assistant Manager (Cargo Underwriting) with QBE Insurance International for 11 Years. She also spent 10 years with Winterthur Insurance handling Cargo Risk. Belinda obtained her Senior Associate CIP from Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) in October 1997 and holds a Diploma in General Insurance.
Ms. Stephanie Hong is the appointed Marine Cargo Underwriter of Great American Insurance Company, Singapore Branch. In this role, she is responsible for managing and underwriting the Marine Cargo portfolio to ensure revenue and profitable growth.
She has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry focusing on Marine Underwriting. Prior to this appointment, she was the Regional Marine Manager with Starr International Insurance. She also spent 14 years with Federal Insurance Company handling Marine Cargo and Freight Forwarders’ Liability. Stephanie has the certification in Commercial General Insurance and holds a Diploma in Business Administration & Marketing.
Manager, Marine (North Asia)
Ms. Ice Shing is the appointed Marine Underwriter of Great American Insurance Company, Singapore Branch. In this role, she is responsible for managing and underwriting the Marine portfolio in North Asia to ensure revenue and profitable growth.
She has more than eight years of experience in the insurance industry focusing on Marine Underwriting with six years stationed in Hong Kong. Prior to this appointment, she was the Marine Underwriter with SART Underwriting Limited. She also spent three years with Kiln Hong Kong Limited underwriting Marine Cargo business. Having majored in Risk Management and Finance, Ice is a First Honour graduate, and holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Hong Kong and holds an advanced diploma in Insurance, ACII.
