Cincinnati Broker Appreciation Event
Great American Insurance Group hosted its annual broker appreciation event this past August in Cincinnati, Ohio. A wide range of brokers and agents from a variety of all Great American divisions from around the country attended.
This year’s activities began with breakfast, followed by a round of golf at a local favorite, TPC River’s Bend Country Club. That afternoon, participants attended a luncheon where Gary Gruber, President and Chief Operating Officer, P&C Group, shared a presentation about the company. Leading with an overview of Great American’s history, Gruber communicated how we encompass our core values and culture each and every day while making complex business decisions. He went on to highlight key products and the variety of coverage options offered within each of our unique divisions.

Representing Great American Environmental, Kirk Davenport, Divisional Vice President, provided an update to attendees, speaking about the technical aspects of the industry. Additionally, Davenport educated the audience on the distinct products and services offered by the division.
Overall, the message of the strength and stability paired with strategic growth truly resonated with the attendees. As an A.M. Best “A+” (Superior) rated carrier, who has received a rating of “A” or better for more than 100 years*, we are proud to share and showcase our success.
To wrap up the evening, attendees were escorted to the top of the Great American tower to enjoy the view of the Cincinnati skyline over networking, cocktails and dinner.
The second day of the event took place at Great American Ball Park®, where participants had the opportunity to engage in some friendly competition. With the weather cooperating, it was a perfect day to play some ball!
The mock professional ball game consisted of an opening National Anthem sung by Great American’s Annie Reynolds, followed by a full nine innings pitched by a former Cincinnati Reds player, Tom Browning.
Brokers and Agents played the game while donning their official Reds attire, including customized jerseys and a Reds hat. Additionally, each player was featured on the big screen! The event concluded with lunch at the stadium.
The event was a homerun! It was GREAT opportunity to recognize our agents and showcase how much we appreciate their business. Thank you to everyone that participated. We look forward to continuing our relationship!
*A.M. Best rating affirmed August 17, 2018.
