Property & Inland Marine Division gains competitive advantage with technological solutions for agents
We live in a fast moving world with customers who want to do more online. In a recent study, published by Statista, 60 percent of consumers indicate that they shop online several times per month or even week, driven primarily by the ease of doing business1. These same consumers may be buying insurance online as well. A number of industry surveys show that insurance customers are increasingly asking for an easier way to do business with carriers.
Property & Inland Marine Division Underwriting Desktop team has provided agents with two tools that have met this need. First, our online tool, GREATpolicy® provides the efficiency of one point of entry. When using GREATpolicy agents can quote, bind and issue their own policies in just minutes. GREATpolicy has changed the way agents are able to interact with us by providing an easier and faster way to submit business.
With the second tool, the Portfolio Upload functionality in the Great American Underwriting Desktop (UD), we are able to integrate our system with the systems that agents use to write their business. This gives agents the ability to issue our policies in their system and send us the data to feed into our Underwriting Desktop and downstream systems.
These technological solutions have given Property & Inland Marine Division an advantage needed to move ahead of our competitors. The UD team’s ability to develop software that supports our strategy has made it easy for agents to do business with us.
We are committed to creating customized program solutions for you! Learn more about our technical solutions to increase efficiency and how we are making doing business easier for you!
