Underwriting Trainee Program is an intensive six to nine month program that develops the skills an insurance underwriter requires for a successful career in underwriting. Complete several business rotations to learn to review and evaluate risks and exposures for various types of business and to determine appropriate classification and pricing methodologies. Work with experienced underwriters and claims adjusters to learn the various functions related to underwriting, applying their knowledge throughout each rotation.

Eligible students will have proven leadership skills through extracurricular activities, internships/co-ops or work experience, superior communication and analytical thinking skills. The minimum GPA of a 3.0 is required for the Underwriter and Claims Trainee Programs.
