Summit Releases Report on Top Five Workers’ Comp Claims in Retail

LAKELAND, Fla.– Summit, a leading regional provider of workers’ compensation insurance services, releases COMPInsiders® Top Injuries in Retail report identifying the top five claims it sees in the retail industry.

The report highlights the top five claims in retail based on lost time and medical-only claims for Summit-managed insurers. From 2017 through 2022, Summit received more than 9,600 workers’ compensation claims in the retail industry, and 22% of those claims were caused by strain.
