Happy Retirement!

Patsy Clark, an Equine Mortality Senior Business Project Manager, retired after 39 years of service on September 1st. Patsy was one of the first employees of the Equine Mortality Division and participated in the development of the then-fledgling business unit into a leading provider of equine mortality insurance.

Kathy Coyne, Divisional Vice President of Equine Claims, will be retiring on November 1st after 25 years with Great American. Kathy is our featured executive in this newsletter issue, and she speaks of the changes in the industry since she started her 40-year career in insurance claims. 

We want to take this opportunity to say, “Thank you!” to them both for their many years of dedicated service. We wish Patsy and Kathy all the best in their retirement! 

Healthy Horses Conference

Great American was proud to be a supporter of the 15th Annual Healthy Horses Conference, which was held July 14th at the University of Florida Veterinary Extension in Gainesville, Florida. This conference is an educational day with a focus on successful equine health care, providing lectures, lunch and live equine demonstrations. Topics included endocrine, toxic plants, physical therapy for your horse, anhidrosis, colic surgery, emergency management and more!
