From the Executive Desk

A message from Adrienne Letts

Hello, Valued Agents.

As we enter 2023, Great American AgriBusiness® has some exciting changes to share with you.

First, we want to say “goodbye” to Beth Leaird. A long-time Great American employee, Beth was promoted to the role of President of the Equine Mortality Division as of the first of the year. And while she will no longer be managing our Equine Farm Profit Center, she’ll (literally) be just down the hall and will continue to work closely with the AgriBusiness® Division as we look to synergistically grow both Equine Farm and Equine Mortality.

Secondly, we want to say “hello” to Adrienne Letts, the new Assistant Vice President responsible for managing the Equine Profit Center. Adrienne has spent the entirety of her career with Great American AgriBusiness® in numerous roles, including underwriting, product development and IT management. Adrienne is looking forward to meeting many of you over the course of the new year and helping you grow your Equine Farm books of business.

And, after a long insurance career, our former President, Jeff Cruey, has retired and has handed the reigns of the AgriBusiness® Division to me (Ken Patrick). I want to thank Jeff for the many years of dedicated service that he devoted to the AgriBusiness® Division and the determined leadership he provided. He is responsible for many improvements and efficiencies within the division that have positioned AgriBusiness® (and your agencies) to successfully grow long into the future. We wish him nothing but the best as he settles down to many more days fishing at his pond on his small farm in southwest Ohio.

Finally, I’d like to introduce myself as the new President of the AgriBusiness® Division. I was fortunate to join Great American in 2015 and have spent the last eight years managing the non-Equine Farm Profit Center based here in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to my years at Great American, I spent several years with other insurance carriers. As with Adrienne, I am looking forward to getting to know you better in the coming months and years. My goal is to grow Great American to be the premier writer of equine farms in North America, all the while recognizing that without collaboration with great agencies, our efforts will be fruitless. That said, we are committed to providing you with the best products and services that will enable you to meet your insureds’ needs and grow your business.

So, on behalf of Adrienne, Beth, Jeff, Janelle (Claims), the Equine Farm team and myself – Here’s to a great and prosperous 2023. We look forward to getting to know you better and working with you, and we thank you for your business and support.

 Thanks,

Ken Patrick
Divisional President, AgriBusiness®
