How to File a Claim on a Bond

You can file a claim by providing the following information in letter format:

  • Bond / Policy No. if you have one
  • Principal / Insured Name (name of company or individual you are filing 
    the claim against)
  • Project Name if a contract bond and there is one
  • Brief description of why you are filing the claim against the Principal / Insured
  • Claimant's name, address, and daytime phone number

You can send this information in one of three ways:

  • Via fax to 888-290-3706 - Attention Bond Claims (preferred method)
  • Via mail to Great American Insurance Company, P.O. Box 2119
    Cincinnati, OH 45201, Attn: Bond Claims
  • Via email to bondclaims@gaig.com
