A Message from Divisional President, Michael Csorba

Fall is my favorite season, partly due to my birthday but mostly because we move from hot, humid summer days to cooler temperatures that are good for jeans, sweatshirts, and football season, not to mention my two favorite non-religious holidays, Halloween and Thanksgiving.

September/October is also planning time where we look back to see where we came from, where we are now and where we expect to be next year.

The Great American Ocean Marine Division has gone through a lot of change and growth during this pandemic. Per AM Best, Great American moved into the top 10 based on GWP for all US Ocean Marine companies in 2020. But more importantly, we have maintained a level of service and profitability that allows us to offer our producers and insureds the most comprehensive product portfolio in the ocean marine market.

The majority of the OM team will return to the office on a hybrid basis meaning three days in the office and two days working from home. It is our goal for the remainder of 2021 and 2022 to continue to serve our clients to the best of our ability no matter where our employees are located. Of course, we are very open to growing new relationships, as you will see in our “Recent Wins” section.

We look forward to seeing our agents as industry events return to normal. As always, we appreciate your support and your business.
