Pollution/Cofr Update
In 2027 Great American will continue as a supporting market for Falvey cargo business and Safe Harbor Pollution/COFR business.
Great American will continue to quote, issue policies and adjust claims. Effective 1/1/27 Great American will also handle the invoicing and premium collection, same as all other lines of business we underwrite. Falvey/Safe Harbor will no longer handle the invoicing and premium collection on any Pollution/COFR policy underwritten by Great American with a 2027 effective date.
Effective 01/01/2027, Great American will provide 100% security for all Pollution/COFR business underwritten by Great American Insurance Company.
Great American can offer limits up to $25m Pollution / $60m COFR. For COFR limits > $60M please contact Falvey/Safe Harbor: [email protected].
Contact your GA underwriter for policy endorsements and for pollution claims; call the number on your policy, 877-427-3228, or email [email protected].
Underwriting and Claims remain the same and Falvey/Safe Harbor will continue with premium collection for policy activity relating to 2026 policies.
Producer codes on Pollution/COFR policies will revert to your standard marine business codes beginning in 2027. You will be able to access all data and documents related to your Pollution/COFR business underwritten by Great American on Great American’s agent portal as normal.
Please alert your accounting / billing departments of the following changes:
Falvey/Safe Harbor will continue to administer the invoicing and premium collection until policy expiration on any Pollution/COFR policy with effective dates prior to 01/01/2027. Great American accounting will service all Pollution/COFR policies with a 2027 effective date.
