GLIDER: Great American Environmental's Commercial General Liability and Environmental Protection Policy

You asked, and we listened! We’re excited to spotlight a new comprehensive solution from Great American Environmental: GLIDER℠ (General Liability Insurance + Dedicated Environmental Risk).

GLIDER is a single, integrated policy that marries ISO-based commercial general liability with site-specific pollution liability. Designed for sectors such as manufacturing, chemical processing, waste management, and more, GLIDER delivers coordinated protection for both traditional and environmental exposures—and it’s built by pollution underwriters, not just GL underwriters.

This comprehensive policy is supported by our in-house team of claims, risk engineering, and pollution underwriting professionals. They work as a coordinated unit, delivering rapid triage, organized response, and clear communication. This collaboration helps streamline vendor management, simplify regulatory interactions, and improve documentation, allowing incidents to move toward closure more efficiently.

Additionally, our Response & React program offers spill response management in all 50 states, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our large network of prequalified environmental professionals are standing by, ready to provide the knowledge and expertise you need to manage a rapid, cost effective response to your emergency. In the case of an emergency, your client can call the R&R hotline at (800) 340-3399.

Our Contractors ProProtect program, offering both pollution and professional liability coverage for small contractors, is in full swing. Ideal for your contracting clients with annual revenues up to $25 million, this program offers an affordable way to fill the coverage gaps left by standard casualty insurance.

Additionally, we’ve updated our Contractors ProProtect online quoting tool based on your feedback!

The quoting tool simplifies the process, allowing you to generate contractors pollution liability and professional liability quotes efficiently and with minimal steps.

Eric McCabe serves as Divisional Senior Vice President and Director of Underwriting for Great American’s Environmental Division. In his role, he oversees underwriting operations for all lines of insurance products. Along with his extensive experience in the insurance field, Eric holds his Juris Doctorate and previously worked as an environmental chemist and analyst. He is based out of our New York, NY office.
