Each issue of Environmental Insider will introduce you to members of our team and describe the unique role they play in supporting you and your clients.
Lori Singleton, Counsel - Administrative Services
Great American Environmental Division is thrilled to welcome Lori Singleton to the Administrative Services unit as Counsel. In her role, Lori advises underwriters on various legal-related matters including compliance and endorsements. Additionally, she provides service to any underwriter or other faculty member that may have questions about the legality of their written policies or other documents. Lori has an extensive legal background in several areas which provides a unique perspective to our team.
Lori obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing at Eastern Kentucky University and then went on to get her master’s degree in the same subject. While there, Lori was in the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and studied abroad in Portugal. Afterwards, Lori moved up to Northern Kentucky to attend Northern Kentucky University’s Chase Law School. While obtaining her degree, she worked as a faculty research assistant for an environmental law professor.
Lori's first job out of college was at a personal injury law firm, where she enjoyed the structured litigation and routine. However, Lori wanted to expand in other areas and remembered enjoying her time learning about environmental law.

Now she's enjoying cultivating new experiences in a different legal field and learning about the safety of the environment.
Lori is based out of our Cincinnati, OH headquarters.
Welcome back, Karen Grassi!
We are thrilled to welcome back Karen Grassi to Great American Insurance’s Environmental Division. Karen, a Senior Production Underwriting Specialist, returns to us after her tenure at a public environmental office, where she further honed her expertise in environmental consulting and enforcement. Her return marks a significant moment for our division, as Karen's expertise and dedication have always been invaluable to our mission. We are excited to see the innovative approaches and fresh perspectives she will bring to our environmental risk management strategies.
Karen's homecoming is a testament to the strong bonds and collaborative spirit that define our team. Her presence will undoubtedly enhance our efforts to provide top-tier environmental insurance solutions. Based out of our Exton, PA office, Karen is ready to dive back into her role as a master production underwriter, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her back. Welcome home, Karen!
